School Site Council
The Canyon Crest Academy School Site Council (SSC) is the governing body responsible for planning, developing, and approving the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and its related expenditures, with the ultimate goal of raising the academic achievement of all students.
Core Responsibilities
- School Improvement: Work with school staff to upgrade education programs.
- Campus Advisory: Advise the administration on daily campus concerns and student needs.
- Accreditation Input: Provide key feedback and participation for WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) self-studies and mid-cycle visits.
- Legislative Updates: Stay informed on legislative changes affecting education.
Membership Composition
The council is composed of 16 members, including representation from the following constituency groups:
- 1 Principal
- 5 Classroom Teachers
- 2 Other School Personnel
- 4 Parents or Community Members
- 4 Students
