Below are some facts about Canyon Crest Academy:
  • Canyon Crest is one of four comprehensive high schools in the San Dieguito Union High School District.
  • CCA is a school of choice, which means that any student who resides within our district boundaries can apply to attend during the district's high school selection process. CCA has a capped enrollment, and if the number of applicants exceeds the projected available seats, a lottery is held. After the lottery, students are notified of the results.
  • CCA is on a 4 x 4 system. In the 4 x 4 system, students can take 4 courses in the fall, and 4 different courses in the spring. Each course is the equivalent of a year-long course on a traditional two-semester, year-long system. Our school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.mm. Each class period is 90 minutes.
